Brushland is a fairytale kingdom builder where you paint the land

Brushland is an upcoming Steam game from Transhuman Design, made by Michał Marcinkowski, the creator of Soldat and King Arthur's Gold. You paint tiles of land, and each tile decides what to become based on its neighbors. Villagers sail in, move into the houses and ask for things. The developer says the demo arrives in Q1 2027 and the full game in Q2 2027.

The pitch

The Steam page describes three joys: shaping a land, watching it fill with life, and caring for the people who live there. Rock becomes mountains that catch snow, rivers find their own way down cliffs as waterfalls, and a village can grow into a castle. There is no clock and no failure. Read how it works, meet the villagers, or check the release date.

Inspiration

The developer credits Neuschwanstein castle and the games Tiny Glade, Townscaper and Islandoodle as inspirations.
